     METH WATCH PROGRAM LAUNCH
In partnership with the Langley RCMP and Langley Downtown Merchants Association we are pleased to host an information session on Meth Watch on Tuesday April 1, 2008 at the Township Civic Facility, 20338 65th Avenue (Fraser Room) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The purpose for this session is to provide merchants and business operators with valuable information concerning the production of methamphetamine, identifying and reporting procedures for suspicous purchases and a tool kit to help dissuade meth producers from your business. There is no charge to attend this educational meeting however seating is limited and we do require reservations to ensure a seat. Please contact the Chamber Office for reservations at 604-530-6656.

Creative solutions to problems are in high demand. How does a company create an environment to support innovation? What practices are involved in bringing a product from research to commercialization?      BRIGADE DAYS
It was August 2nd, 1858 when the British Parliament passed an Act to establish the Colony of British Columbia. More than three months later the new governor came to Fort Langley to officially proclaim the Act and BC was born. Live historic dramatizations will be taking place each day. Guides and volunteers in traditional garb will demonstrate and reveal a way of life that was coming to an end as the new colony was beginning. The event runs all weekend 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, with the traditional canoe brigade arrival at the waterfront on Sunday, August 4th at 1:00 pm.
